1. What This Site Does With Your Data

S'more's Outdoors tools do not require an account and use only privacy-first, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. The values you enter into a calculator — vehicle measurements, weights, tank sizes, appliance settings, and the like — are stored only in your browser's localStorage so each tool remembers your setup on your next visit. That data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. Each tool's own privacy page names the specific storage key it uses. If you use the optional “Copy share link” button, your current inputs are encoded into the link itself so whoever you send it to can reopen the tool with your values pre-filled — nothing is sent to us, but anyone you give that link can see those values. For offline use, your browser may also keep a local copy of this site’s pages (a standard service-worker cache), which you can clear like any other site data. Your chosen unit system (US, Metric, or UK) is also saved locally in the same way and applies across every tool.

The exceptions are the "Got a tool idea?" form on the home page and the floating "Feedback" panel in the partner portal: if you use either one, the message you write (and your name/email, if you choose to include them) is sent to us and forwarded to our support inbox through our email provider, Resend, solely so we can read and respond. We do not use this for marketing, do not share or sell your email to anyone, and do not store it in a database beyond the resulting email.

The "Support us — get a free sticker!" form works slightly differently, because a request that exists only as an email can be lost without anyone noticing. If you use it, your name, mailing address, and email (if you choose to include it) are stored solely so we can mail you a sticker, and are also sent to our support inbox. We do not use this for marketing, do not add you to any mailing list, and do not share or sell your details to anyone. Your name, address, and email are permanently erased from our records once your sticker is posted — we keep only an anonymous record that a sticker was sent, so we can count how many went out. If you would like your details removed before then, contact us and we will delete them.

The “suggest an event” and “suggest a place to camp” forms on the trip-planning tools are stored the same way and for the same reason: those lists are curated by hand, so a suggestion is a pending change to them and needs to outlive an email that might be filtered. What you write — the place, where it is, and why — is kept until we have acted on it, and is also sent to our support inbox. If you include an email address it is used only to reply to you, and it is erased as soon as the suggestion has been dealt with; the suggestion itself is about a public place, not about you, so what remains identifies nobody. We do not use it for marketing, do not add you to any list, and do not share or sell it. Contact us if you want a suggestion removed sooner.

The product waiting list is the one exception to all of the above, and it is a real mailing list. If you sign up on the "tell me when it ships" page, we do store your email address in a database, along with the product category you selected (if any) and where you came from (a campaign tag or referring site), until you unsubscribe. That is the entire point of the form — it is how we judge whether enough people want the gear to be worth manufacturing. We will email you when the products are available to buy; we will not send you a newsletter, and we do not share or sell the list to anyone. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time without contacting us. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that you did so — that is what stops you being re-added by mistake later.

2. Cookies & Advertising

We may display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info. 3. Affiliate Links

This site contains Amazon Associates affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, Amazon may set a tracking cookie and we may earn a commission — this does not change the price you pay. Amazon's handling of your data is governed by Amazon's own Privacy Notice.

4. Server & Hosting Logs

Our hosting provider, Railway, may log standard technical information (IP address, browser user agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and operational purposes, in line with that host's own privacy practices. We do not cross-reference these logs with any personal identity.

5. Children's Privacy

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Choices

Most of what this site touches lives only in your browser: calculator inputs, unit preference, and the offline cache. Clear it by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, or with the reset controls inside each tool. The trip-planning tools load a campground or events data file from our server and store nothing about you.

Three things are held on our side, and you can have any of them removed: your waiting-list email — use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, which takes effect immediately, or contact us; a pending sticker request — contact us and we will delete it, otherwise the personal details are erased automatically once the sticker is posted; and a place or event suggestion — contact us and we will delete it, otherwise any email address you gave is erased automatically once we have acted on it. Tool-idea and feedback messages exist only in our support inbox; ask and we will delete the email.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we add analytics, change advertising partners, or otherwise change what data this site touches, we will update this page and its effective date.
