Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

S'more's Outdoors publishes a collection of free, browser-based calculators and tools for the RV and camping community (each a "Service," together "the Services"). By using any of the Services you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Individual tools may carry additional tool-specific terms and disclaimers linked from their own pages; where they exist, they supplement these Terms.

2. Description of the Services

The Services fall into four groups. Calculators estimate quantities relevant to RV and camping life — leveling-block counts, towing margins, tank duration, propane use, electrical load — from values you enter and, where offered, reference data we maintain. Trip-planning tools (the campsite finder, Where to Van Camp, Camp Near the Big Events, and the food planner) combine your inputs with third-party data: a public export of Recreation.gov campground records and a curated list of events. The build log documents one specific vehicle conversion as a record of what we did, not as instructions. The product waiting list collects email addresses from people who want to hear when gear we are developing is available. Both trip-planning lists also take suggestions: what you send is a proposal for us to look into, not something we undertake to add. The Services require no account and no payment. Calculations run in your browser; the trip-planning tools load a data file from our server and send nothing back.

3. Estimates Only — No Warranty of Accuracy

Every number the Services produce is an estimate. Reference data is seeded from publicly available sources, is not independently verified against every vehicle, appliance, or configuration, and may be incomplete or out of date. You are solely responsible for verifying the values that matter for your safety — weight ratings, appliance ratings, capacities, and operating limits — against your equipment's documentation and physical measurement before acting on any output of the Services.

Each tool's Disclaimer page contains the full safety disclaimer for that tool and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The trip-planning tools depend on data we did not create and cannot verify site by site: campground records from a public Recreation.gov export, and an events list compiled from public sources in which some dates are projected from an event's usual pattern rather than announced. Campgrounds close, roads wash out, site lengths get re-surveyed, and event dates move. Treat every result as a lead to confirm with the campground or organizer, never as a booking.

4. Tool Suggestions & Feedback

If you submit a tool idea or feedback through a form on the Services, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use, adapt, and act on that submission (for example, by building a similar tool) without owing you compensation or attribution. We read every submission but are under no obligation to respond to, build, or implement any suggestion. Don't submit anything confidential or proprietary — treat these forms as public suggestions, not a confidential disclosure.

5. Free Stickers and the Product Waiting List

We offer physical stickers by request, free of charge, while supplies and budget allow. Fulfillment is entirely at our discretion — we do not guarantee any particular delivery timeframe, and may decline, limit, or delay requests we reasonably believe are duplicate, abusive, or fraudulent. Your mailing address and email (if provided) are used solely to fulfill your request, per our Privacy Policy. The sticker itself is provided "as is," with no warranty of any kind.

Product waiting list. If you give us your email on the “tell me when it ships” page, we will email you once when a product is actually available to buy, and not otherwise. Joining the list is not an order, a reservation, or a promise on either side: we are under no obligation to manufacture anything, and you are under no obligation to buy. Any product described on this site before it is on sale is a concept, and its specifications and price may change or the product may never ship. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. Your address is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) misuse the Services to submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt them; (b) scrape or bulk-extract our reference datasets for redistribution as a competing dataset without permission; or (c) misrepresent Service output as a certified or professionally engineered measurement.

7. Third-Party Links, Advertising & Affiliate Links

The Services may display advertising (including Google AdSense) and affiliate links (including Amazon Associates links) to third-party products. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through those links, at no additional cost to you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the availability, pricing, or content of third-party sites you reach through these links.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services' design, code, and the "S'more's Outdoors" name and tool names are owned by S'more's Outdoors. Vehicle makes, appliance brands, and product names referenced in the Services are trademarks of their respective owners; their use is solely to identify compatible equipment and does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY DATA OR CALCULATION WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, S'MORE'S OUTDOORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED $0, AS THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

11. Changes to the Services and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
